That Was The Week That Was…
It’s been a very busy week at IGI with Lecturer Induction and Student Orientation as well as getting things in place for starting our classes next week.
The Dean met with lecturers for FIN101, MKT101 and MGT101 to discuss teaching pedagogies, the focus on student-centred learning, formative and summative assessment tasks, the learning management system, the culture IGI is looking to develop for staff and students alike, as well as a host of other matters.
Orientation was also completed with IGI welcoming its first ever student cohort. Student Services, IT., the Registrar and Dean were all involved in giving presentations to our new students on a number of divergent areas – all designed to make not only their first weeks with us, but their whole time at IGI one where they can flourish, succeed and set the foundations for a productive and rewarding life, post-study.
It was ultimately a successful week, and all at IGI would like to public thank IH Sydney for their help, support and encouragement as we open up this new exciting chapter.
A very warm welcome in closing to our new students. Everything we can do to help you succeed and flourish while you are with us, we will do.
Best wishes on behalf of IGI.
Dr Alexander Roper
